As we observed a nationwide Janta Carfew yesterday, the countrymen also responded to PM Narendra Modi's call and came out in their balconies and windows at 5 PM to clap and thank the police, medical staff and other essential service providers for their relentless and tireless service at the time of crisis. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana penned a touching poem, and said how the bad times were uniting people beyond their religions.
"Aaj mere pass koi shabd nahi hai/Aaj koi kavita uplabdh nahi hai/In taaliyon ki goonj aur shankhnath /5 minute ke liye kardiya is bandh sa marushthalabad/Aaj sheher ka pradushan ek hi hua hai par pachaas haiYaha ke pashu pakshi pehle se zyada khushmijaaz hai/ Sabhi chikatsakon aur doctoron shat shat pranam hai/ Iss beemari ko ladne mein kya hindu kya musalman hai/Aaj desh ka manushya lockdown se uthna hathprabh nahi hai," he is heard saying, as he recites the poem standing in his balcony.
He earlier also shared that he was spending his home quarantine days by writing and reading poetry and books, and promised to share about new writers he comes across.
