Sanjana Sanghi has been deeply affected by the death of her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide on June 14. Bidding goodbye to the city, Sanjana wrote, “Khuda Hafiz Mumbai, 4 mahine baad aapke darshan hue. Mein challi, Dilli vaapis. Aapki sadke kuch alag si lagi, sunsaan thi, shayad mere dil mein jo dukh hai, mere nazariye ko badal rahe hain, ya sharad, filhaal aap mein bhi thode dukh mein hai. Milte hain? (Goodbye Mumbai. Met you after four months. Now I am returning to Delhi. This time, the streets of Mumbai looked unusually quiet and empty. Maybe it is because of the sadness in my heart that I felt so, or maybe you are upset too. May we meet again, soon, or not.)”

However, the actress clarified that her note has been misinterpreted by many. In another Instagram story, she clarified the misunderstanding and wrote, "Arre arre! Kaafi kuch interpret ho gaya meri previous story se. Now that I re-read it, I can see why! Did NOT mean any kind of "bidding adieu" forever-not to anything else!"

"I've been back home in Delhi since February, throughout lockdown! When COVID eases out, is what I meant when I said, "jaldi, ya shayad nahi"- we'll all be back to life as per usual! Me to being wherever it is that is required for work! Appreciate all the worry all you loveley humans! But absolutely nothing to worry about," she further wrote.
